Gloucester Swimming Pool Complex
Gloucester Swimming Pool Complex Over the last 40 years many residents and visitors have enjoyed using the facilities at Council's Swimming Pool Complex which is ideally located in the picturesque Gloucester District Park. Features of the complex include: 50 metre heated Olympic Pool, 15 metre wading pool with shade cover, toilets and change rooms, kiosk, first aid room, shady areas and picnic facilities, fenced children's play area and the new 13 metre Hydrotherapy Pool with toilets and change rooms. The outdoor Olympic Pool is heated to 27°c and the Hydrotherapy Pool is heated to 34°c. Opening Hours Olympic Pool Monday to Friday: 6am to 8am and 9.30am to 6pm. Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays: 10am to 6pm. Hydrotherapy Pool Monday to Friday: 6am to 7pm. Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays: 8am to 12 noon Olympic Pool Hydrotherapy Pool
Swimming Club Swimming Club is for all ages, including adults, on Thursday nights starting at 6pm. Aqua Aerobics There are 9 Aqua Aerobics sessions each week from October to April in the Olympic Pool. During the winter Aqua Aerobics will be held in the Hydrotherapy Pool. In May to August the classes will be held on Monday 11am and 5.30pm, Wednesday 11am and 5.30pm, Friday 12.30pm and 5.30pm and Saturday 8am. There is also a Social Aerobics class that come daily at 10am in the Olympic Pool during summer and the Hydrotherapy Pool during winter. Physiotherapy Physiotherapy is available with a doctor's referral in the Hydrotherapy Pool. The Hydrotherapy Pool will be booked out for Physiotherapy on Tuesday 12 noon to 2pm and Friday 10am to 12 noon. If you could work around these times it would be appreciated. Learn To Swim The Olympic Pool offers Learn To Swim from October to March while classes will continue in the Hydrotherapy Pool from May to September. All teachers are AUSTSWIM accredited and 1-on-1 lessons are available at very reasonable prices. Early Morning Swimming Lanes are available in the Olympic Pool throughout the summer months and in the Hydrotherapy Pool by booking in winter. BBQ Council are in the process of constructing an electric BBQ facility within the outdoor pool complex which should be in use by September 2008.
