Grey-crowned Babbler Retention Plan
Protection of biodiversity is a key element of ecologically sustainable development and Gloucester Shire Council recognises the need to make informed planning decisions with regards to Threatened species.
The Grey-crowned Babbler is a species of bird found in suitable habitat in and around the township of Gloucester. The species is currently listed as vulnerable under the NSW Threatened Species Conservation Act 1995. Gloucester Shire Council has recognised that with the increased population growth and demand for land on the boundaries and outskirts of the Gloucester Township, the need to address current and future issues in relation to the habitat of the species was of upmost importance. The Grey-crowned Babbler Retention Plan can be downloaded below.
