Who is responsible for monitoring food premises?Council and the NSW Food Authority are responsible for the surveillance of food premises. Council also conducts food hygiene and handling seminars for the benefit of workers in the industry. Persons interested in upgrading their food premises, or opening a new food outlet, should contact Council prior to commencing such works.
