How is Council services structured?

Council services are divided into three departments viz Corporate Services, Planning & Environment and Technical Services.

The significent functions of each service department of Council is as follows:

Corporate Services -

Provides corporate support to the organisation being the Council, staff, ratepayers & residents. Major functions include:- Administration, Finance, Governance and a range of community services.

Planning & Environment Services -

Provides support to and regulatory processes for Environmental, strategic land use, building and development services. Major functions include:- Land use planning & developement, health & building control & waste management, noxious plants and Council buildings.

Technical Services -

Provides and manages civil works, roads and bridges construction and maintenance and water & sewage services. Major functions include:- Roads and bridges network, parks and gardens , traffic control, stormwater drainage, water & sewerage services.
