Community Sharps Disposal
Needles and syringes (community sharps) are sometimes discarded unsafely and you may find this injecting equipment in your local community. If you do not feel comfortable picking up needles and syringes please call the Needle Clean Up Hotline on 1800 633 353 to arrange for collection.
Medical Sharps should never be put in with the garbage or recycling. Council has installed two Community Sharps Disposal Bins:

One in the carpark behind the Majestic Arcade

One in the carpark behind the Billabong Toilets
These bins which are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
