Environmental services
Residents and tourists alike are attracted to Gloucester because of its natural beauty, magnificent waterways and rural character. Continued population growth, combined with increasing levels of tourism, continue to place increasing pressure on the environmental integrity and character of the area. Council's role is to manage these pressures in an environmentally sustainable manner.
Council's Environmental Services Section provides a broad range of services in relation to Waste Collection, Recycling, Landfill Operations, Public Health Inspections, Noxious Weeds, Companion Animals, Wastewater Management through Septic Systems, Entertainment Licences, Contaminated Land issues, assessment of potential impacts on the Local Environment through development, State of the Environment Reporting and Enforcement of Pollution and Local Government Regulations.
If you have enquiries in relation to any of these areas, further information can be accessed through the relevant sections of this site or by contacting Council staff on 6538 5250.
