Gloucester Cultural Plan
The Gloucester Cultural Planning Framework is designed to assist Gloucester Shire Council to identify strategic directions in the broad area of culture.
The planning framework considers culture to be a much broader range than just the traditional arts and includes:
- the natural and built environment
- heritage
- community events and celebrations
-
lifestyle, business and tourism.
It also recognises that culture means diferent things to different people, and seeks to describe collectively all of those factors that effect individuals lives within the community, everyday.
The Cultural Development Advisory Committee conducts the core functions of the Cultural Planning process and is a representative organisation that provides advice to Council on matters relating to cultural development initiaitives.
