MidCoast Water

 

Water and sewerage services for the Gloucester and

Barrington communities are provided by MidCoast Water

and all enquiries should be directed MidCoast Water by

phoning 1-300 133 455.

 

 

Paying Your Water and Sewerage Account:

 

A MidCoast Water and Sewerage account will be distributed 4 times per year and will include water and sewerage access charges and water usage charges.  Customers can expect to receive their MidCoast Water accounts in August, November, February and May of each year.

 

Several options are provided for payment of MidCoast Water accounts which are fully explained on the back of each account.  These options include BPay and Payment in Person at Australia Post.  Payments WILL NOT be accepted by Gloucester Shire Council.  Payment terms will be for payment within 21 days.

 

Planning to Undertake any Development?

 

Any development applications (DA's) being submitted to Gloucester Shire Council need to be submitted to MidCoast Water prior to lodgement with Council.  The relevant development application forms are available from the MidCoast Website or by phoning their customer service officer responsible for Gloucester development applications on 02-65924801.

 

 

Who is MidCoast Water?

 

MidCoast Water is a county council responsible for reticulated water supply and sewerage systems in the Greater Taree, Great Lakes and Gloucester local government areas (LGA's).  MidCoast Water operates five water supply schemes in the Manning, Bulahdelah, Stroud, Tea Gardens and Gloucester areas.  Sewerage treatment services are provided to all main urban centres and to most communities with reticulated water including Gloucester and Barrington townships.

 

The policy making process is in the hands of nine (9) elected representatives, under guidance of a Chairperson.  The currently elected representatives are:

 

  • Cr Mave Richardson (Chairperson) - Greater Taree
  • Cr John Weate (Deputy Chair) - Great Lakes
  • Cr Paul Hogan - Greater Taree
  • Cr Eddie Loftus - Greater Taree
  • Cr Aled Hoggett - Gloucester
  • Cr Jim Henderson - Gloucester
  • Cr Frank Hooke - Gloucester
  • Cr Linda Gill - Great Lakes
  • Cr Jan McWilliams - Great Lakes

MidCoast County Council meets on the third Tuesday of every month.  Meetings alternate between Foster, Gloucester and Taree and meeting times, dates and locations will be advertised each month in the Gloucester Advocate.
